Singles day

11 November = 11.11 is a special day in China (what a surprise!): Guang Gun Jie, 光棍节 (guāng gùn jié), literally meaning "bare sticks holiday", celebrates who on this day is still single.

FUNNY THING OF THE DAY – What a "better" day for becoming single again? That is what Endo sensei would call perfect timing.. I like traditions, then I have to go to the shop and get the four Youtiao (deep-fried dough sticks) representing the four "ones" in "11.11" and one Baozi (steamed stuffed bun) representing the middle dot. I did not have them for breakfast, but I must have them for dinner..
