FUNNY THING OF THE DAY – In China many people refer to Christmas as Merry Christmas!!! So you hear questions like: “what are you going to do Merry Christmas day??”, “Sunday it is Merry Christmas”. Difficult not smile at this… I have heard this mainly from university educated people, this is also funny, but maybe understandable: they read about western traditions, but then they do not really understand what they stand for.. and “merry” is a word not used very often.. so they end up associating it only to Christmas, I think..
