Yesterday it was my birthday, 46 years spent around this funny world and I was supposed to be in Italy for celebrating the wedding of a special friend Valentina and her partner, Ivano..
Cloudy and rainy, I will not see the moon, but I still got a couple of old delicious moon cakes, 月饼, that must be enough for my own celebration of the day!
Today it is the Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节, zhōngqiū jié), or so called Moon Cake festival 🙂

Special treat for my birthday yesterday night at Aikido practice at Aikido Amsterdam dojo: I hope it represents the introduction of a tradition developed in Norway.
What better way for Aikido people to celebrate their birthday on the mats receiving Aikido “hugs” in forms of throws and techniques by the fellow aikidokas?
I cannot think of a better way to show Aikido love 🙂

An Aiki-brother from my time in Stavanger has set out along his predestined path: music at professional level! Already when I met him, his life was a mix of playing, working in music shops, and Aikido.. and he has always worked in intriguing projects, starting now a new one, with a band called Bohem, who is releasing the first album and start an exciting new adventure!
