Happy Moon cake day..

4 10 2017

Cloudy and rainy, I will not see the moon, but I still got a couple of old delicious moon cakes, 月饼, that must be enough for my own celebration of the day!

Today it is the Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节, zhōngqiū jié), or so called Moon Cake festival 🙂

A few years ago I got this nice video from a Chinese Aikido friend:

…and I add the memories from my second year in China, when I could really enjoy the moon (in 2010 it had been quite cloudy and rainy!):

Happy mid-autumn festival

44+1- happy Aikido birthday to me!

7 07 2016

Special treat for my birthday yesterday night at Aikido practice at Aikido Amsterdam dojo: I hope it represents the introduction of a tradition developed in Norway.

What better way for Aikido people to celebrate their birthday on the mats receiving Aikido “hugs” in forms of throws and techniques by the fellow aikidokas?

I cannot think of a better way to show Aikido love 🙂

Bohemian kick off!

12 01 2016

An Aiki-brother from my time in Stavanger has set out along his predestined path: music at professional level! Already when I met him, his life was a mix of playing, working in music shops, and Aikido.. and he has always worked in intriguing projects, starting now a new one, with a band called Bohem, who is releasing the first album and start an exciting new adventure!

The Caravan Song:

..but this live session gave me goosebumps, maybe because I know the place where it has been recorded or maybe because it reminded me of many nights spent talking about everything, eating, drinking and enjoying music..
